Willow took this class in Autumn 2024. The works on this website are a collection exploring Wilderness in the United States and how humanity perceives it through literature. Through the 15-week course Willow explored how the American perspective of wilderness evolved from early colonial America to the present day. The topics for discussion were wilderness concepts, environmental history, ecology, and literature. Topics covered also included the intersection of race, gender, religious identity, colonialism and indigenous land rights.
